“We are so happy to be able to tour with Say Anything. And if you think it's just because I married one of them... well, you're right.” --- Sherri

The siblings (and cousin) of Texan band Eisley seemed to be happy to be back on the road and touring. The release of their has been pushed back several times until sometime in the Spring, which gives them time to tour with Say Anything before they depart on a headlining tour to support the new album. “We are so happy to be able to tour with Say Anything. And if you think it's just because I married one of them... well, you're right.” Sherri DuPree Bemis jokes in between songs.

Max Bemis and Sherri DuPree perform "Smarter"

Eisley opened the show with “Marvelous Things” and “Invasion” before introducing one of their new songs, “The Valley”. Later on in the show, Sherri invited husband Max Bemis out on stage to thunderous applause to play on another new song that he helped her write, called “Smarter”. “He plays it better than me, anyways,” she insisted. Near the end of the set, which was too short for my taste, we got another taste of the upcoming album with “Ambulances”. (Both “The Valley” and “Ambulances” can be found on the current EP Fire Kite. Though the other songs offered on the EP differ depending on if you snag a physical copy at one of their shows or settle for the digital version. Only show attendees have the chance for the limited edition version with Max Bemis covering one of Eisley's first hits, “Telescope Eyes”.)

The show provided a good mix of favourites from the first two albums, as well as a nice glimpse into what we can expect from album number three. From what we've heard so far, it seems like the album will be worth the long wait. Throughout the show, Sherri, Stacey, and Chauntelle were very polite and gracious, repeatedly thanking the audience for being such a good crowd, even though the crowd didn't get really pumped up until Say Anything hit the stage. Eisley ended the their set with “Many Funerals” and then left the stage to make way for headliners, Say Anything.
